Mitch, not only good items like the rings have made their appearance. If we were to give one person his ring or what have you, what argument could we feasibly give for not giving anyone else theirs? And even if we did simply put our foot down, who's to say telling certain other people they weren't allowed the things their comic counterparts owned wouldn't cause a riot, wouldn't cause them to break in to Crossover to try to reclaim what's theirs? Can you imagine if anything of the Joker's came about? Scarecrow's fear serum? Kryptonite? It could kill Fitz.

Are you seriously trying to compare the ring to Joker venom and Kryptonite? Aside from the fact that they shouldn't exist, we're talking apples and oranges. A GL ring isn't on the same level as those items because it belonged to Hal, not some megalomaniac nutcase. I'm not saying Clarence needs his ring, but it's certainly not fair that every Tom, Dick, and Stanley on the street seems to have one and he doesn't get the one that belongs to him.

It isn't about what the item is, so much as who has it, Mitchell. Even discounting our reincarnated villains, it's quite possible someone could see themselves doing good with a ring or -- or your bow, or Batman's utility belt, or the electronic Canary bombs Oracle engineered for me. Every Tom, Dick, and Stanley doesn't have one; Kyle has his, and Guy's has ended up elsewhere. I personally can't do anything about Padma; she isn't DC. I'll bring it up to the council, but I can't simply give the ring, or any item, out.

You asked me to steal something from the council, led by people who would leap at a chance to have me off. I would lose all credibility if and when it got out, just for a favor and to earn the trust of someone I should already have. I've already spoken to Clarence regarding the situation with his ring (he is handling it far more gracefully than you are), and we've come to a solution. So kindly take your head out of your ass and look past this little bff crusade, won't you?
